Think Fresh & Blooming for the 2014 Spring/Summer Wedding Season
Brides: It’s time to rethink the smoky
eye/cat’s eye look!
Forget the smoke and drama and think fresh and
blooming for the coming 2014 spring/summer wedding season. Think
pinks and subtle purples, with an added touch of iridescent shine.
Color is applied only on the eye lid, from the crease and until the lash line and gently brushed
under the lower lash line, ending just before the tear duct. A dab of iridescent
powder/shadow is gently brushed on to the middle of the top lid. White eye pencil is applied on the water line
of the bottom lashes.
Just a few individual false long lashes are added to the top and bottom
lash lines, to create a wide-eyed, innocent look. Together, all
these steps create a round, soft, gentle look for the eyes.
The lips and cheeks are light, luscious and pink (or nearly nude)!
This look is especially flattering for brides with small round or square
faces and small features. The light-colored eye shadow helps to keep eyes
bright and prevents a sunken, dark look.
What about the hairstyle?
Nearly any hairstyle from short-pixie to long and luxurious curls will go well with this look.

What about the gown and veil?
Cool eye shadow colors will suit a pure white wedding
gown, while warmer shades will complement a champagne
or off-white wedding gown.
The look should be finished off with a very delicate headband consisting
of a row or two of pearls or diamonds, matching earrings and a veil appropriate
to the height of the bride and the material of the wedding gown.

Another great hint from The Kallah Whisperer: Email RSVP DOs and DON'Ts!
Email RSVP DOs and DON'Ts
Do your wedding/simcha invitations include an EMAIL RSVP
request? You and your guests need to be
sure that you received the RSVP! How do
you ensure this? Simple!
(1) Create a wedding/event specific email (they’re free on
gmail, yahoo and so on). Don’t use your
regular email; it’s too easy to get your RSVP emails LOST! Make sure to use an easy to remember and type
email address, such as bridename.groomname@gmail.com. Keep the password simple!
(2) Create an automatic-receipt email (this is called Vacation
responder in Gmail), which can be set to send an automatic response once an
email is received.
In the Subject Line key
in: “Thanks for the RSVP” and a similar message in the message text box, such
as “Thanks for the RSVP. We hope to see you at our simcha. Signed the bride and groom or the bride,
groom and the parents”.
Unfortunately these
simple email systems cannot read the email and determine if someone is
attending or not. You will need to read
each email and then move them to folders marked Attending or Not Attending to
keep your records tidy.
PAST NISHT!
Recently I came upon an old business photograph
of mine, used without my permission or knowledge, in a range of blogs and articles
throughout the internet. I am calling this use "past nisht", but the use of my photographs is way beyond "past nisht" and I want to believe that since I sent emails to the different offenders this use will now stop!
(2009)
This is the original photograph, taken by
my husband Sidney – using five of my own wigs and head stands, as well
as one of the first backgrounds we constructed using one of my Shabbos
tablecloths.
This is just one of a series of photographs
taken in 2009 and were subsequently used in a variety of ways including in my first
business card and several web site versions – under the original name of my
business: Styles by Yochi.
Examples of my old site (2011):

This photograph is MY property and as such,
permission must be requested and provided before this photograph is published ANYWHERE.
The credit under the photo should read as follows: “Photographed
by Sidney Eisner for Yochi Eisner, The Kallah Whisperer for

I want to believe that this situation will be remedied immediately!
